You Don't Know Me

I feign ignorance, put up a face you'd believe could never do wrong Do you know me? Barely a score I've been touched and felt in places unknown And yes, I've always wanted more I take substances to elevate my mood, to kill the pain, to relax, to unwind I write depressing poems to fill to the void Only to empty my heart right again I have been to places I should not be caught dead in I tell lies to get out of situations, don't we all? I have played with hearts, toyed with emotions Don't get me wrong, I'm changing I've lived my youth to the full I've had a jolly good time of my life The drugs, the weed, the boys Been there, done that Now do you know me? Nope, not well enough Beneath the surface lies a heart writhing in pain Both emotional and physical Beneath my skin, flowing through my veins runs the devil's blood-black blood I might be fuelled by hate, anger, pain Yet I feel love and happiness on good days Don't judge me by ...

Funsho Install, The Brain Behind Just Swanky Clothing

Background My name is Funsho Adewale, better known as Funsho Install. I am a student of Babcock University, Ilishan Remo, Ogun State. I am in my final year, studying International Law and Diplomacy. I grew up in Mushin area of Lagos state. Childhood was not all perfect but we thank the Lord. Time changed, I learnt the hard way. Business Inspiration I am a short guy and I wanted to be relevant. So I started something small to get people's attention. I am giving hope to short guys in a way. You know, girls like tall boys but I noticed if you are short and rich, girls would still come running. I however did not start my business because I wanted girls to come after me. The truth is, if you put a girl or lady before your career or business, one can never be successful. Parental Model Both parents own businesses. I more like took after them, so to say. Motivation God first, focus on the career then every other thing next. No business is easy. My destination is m...

Building Lasting Relationships

I am guilty of this but I'll still say what I have to say about this topic. Relationships don't grow on their own. It takes your energy and effort to grow and maintain a relationship. I'll be sharing a few tips to building better relationships. But, please take note that the relationship I'm talking about the not the typical boy/girlfriend or fiancee/fiance relationship. As against what most people believe, that is not what I am talking about. The kind of relationship I am talking about is your general attitude and behaviour towards everybody and everything, yes everything. It could be to your friend, a stranger, colleague at work or in school etc. First, know thyself and the person you want to bond with. You can't just want to be friends with anybody. Like attracts like. you can't be a Sanguine and move around with a Phlegmatic. It works for some people but know yourself. What applies to A may not apply to B. As the saying goes, one man's meat is another ...

Push Someone

Yeah, the title sounds weird. But yeah, push someone. Good morning beautiful people. Hope your night was splendid because mine was superb. So yesterday, I went to church for Night of Worship and something remarkable happened just as I stepped out of the church compound. The addictive me was pressing her phone, chatting obviously. I was bumping into people but I kept saying 'Sorry' each time that happened. I was, in a way subconscious of the little 'drains/ditches' up ahead. I was fixated on my phone, like there was something I would get out of the chat. Just when I thought I had had it all for the night, a lady pushed me. It was not like she bumped into me from the side or anything. She pushed me with her open palm. I was not angry at first because I thought she was 'one of those people' you meet on the street. I looked up ahead and there was a hole in the ground which I would have fallen into had she not pushed me. I looked at her and said, 'Thank you'....
