Gele is an essential part of dressing especially among the Yoruba women. Your dressing is seen as 'incomplete' without the gele.
There are various types and various styles. Some types are Aso Oke, Aso Ofi, Damask etc. The styles could be Abebe, 2 in 1, The Bow etc.
So, here are the 'normal' styles of gele you used to know or better referred to as the everyday gele styles

I personally think they are beautiful! Very beautiful and creative.
Not to forget....who remembers Mama Kofo? That woman blows my mind with ther gele styles. I wonder how she gets it or who tied it for her. Whoever did must be so very creative.
